A thoughtful blend of old and new, this Mountain Lakes project reimagines early 1900s charm through a modern transitional lens. With restored coffered ceilings, deepened built-ins, and layered family details, every design choice honors the past while making space for the way this family lives now.
A transitional space designed for real life and real families.
This entryway in our Mountain Lakes project balances tradition and modern functionality, all while setting the tone for the home. A classic stair runner and stair rods nod to timeless design, while a curated gallery wall—layered with mixed frame styles—brings an old-meets-new aesthetic to life.
We anchored the space with a round table—one of the first things you see as you walk in—chosen for both its sculptural presence and everyday practicality. Behind it, a console table offers a second drop zone for a growing family, allowing space for life’s daily essentials to be tucked away with ease.

With original details like built-ins and coffered ceilings setting the tone, our goal was to elevate, reimagine, and layer the space with intentional nods to its past.
A personal retreat layered with memory, intention, and modern functionality.
This moody Mountain Lakes office was designed as a deeply personal retreat—layered with meaning, grounded in rich materials, and tailored to reflect the client’s heritage and lifestyle. It was important that the space honor his late father, so we integrated collected and inherited pieces throughout: framed photographs, heirlooms, and small objects placed intentionally across the bookshelves and surfaces. These personal layers brought the room to life, adding depth and quiet character.
